Education & Private
Mr. Steen’s education is characterized by his gradual development and accumulation of qualifications and experience. After attending schools in Latin America and Germany, he trained as an industrial clerk with top grades, followed by a degree in economics in Hamburg with honors. Internships in Germany and the USA with industrial, consulting and FMCG companies led to a management trainee program at Beiersdorf (Nivea, Hansaplanst, Tesa) and his first marketing position with global responsibility.
The switch to product management and subsequently to marketing management at market-leading medical device companies established his expertise in the MD&D sector. This was followed by management positions in Customer Service (B2B and B2C), Regulatory Affairs and Sales Leadership, Sales Controlling up to successful General Manager Latin America.
In his private life, Mr. Steen is interested in sports (golf, skiing, fitness), Latin American literature, travel and the development of national economies.
