Project description
- A new HR role model should be introduced – for all countries including Germany.
- The aim was both standardization and a 30% reduction in the workforce.
- The first step was to analyze the existing processes, the organization and the needs of the HR departments in all countries.
- The biggest challenge for Germany was to negotiate a reconciliation of interests with the works council and to implement the staff restructuring in a socially responsible manner.
Result
- The processes that had the greatest global standardization potential and could be managed by a central team were defined.
- The central team was set up in Barcelona, the processes described and the team trained for implementation.
- The reconciliation of interests was successfully negotiated and the staff restructuring was implemented.
- The roles were established through a training concept. Thanks to consistent, early and comprehensive communication and change management, the project was supported by both the HR team and internal customers, despite the high level of criticality
